概覽 Overview

The BA(CDA) & BEd(VA) cross-sectoral co-terminal double degree programme incorporates knowledge and proficiency in its disciplines from both Western and non-Western cultures, including Chinese Arts, and articulates the interconnectedness with the social, historical, cultural, technological, and aesthetic contexts, covering digital arts practices and STEAM education in visual arts, and critically applying, evaluating, and critiquing a broad range of styles, genres, and traditions within local, regional and global contexts. The programme will equip students with knowledge in arts administration and management, providing them with opportunities to gain hands-on experience through internships, in addition to solid training to nurture professional school teachers. Graduates of the programme will have attained academic excellence and professional competence, and will possess a solid command of subject knowledge and skills in their chosen disciplines, together with a firm and thorough grasp of the interrelationship between theory and practice.

Theory and Practice Integration Integration of subject knowledge, professional knowledge and practical abilities in Education Major, Visual Arts Studies, Creative and Digital Arts Studies, Cultural Studies and Arts Management

Empirical Learning Teaching practicums, internship experiences and study tours

Greater Bay Area (GBA) Elements Incorporation of recent developments in the cultural and creative sectors of the GBA

Diverse Career Opportunities Visual Arts teaching at the primary/secondary school level, as well as engagement in digital arts and creative industries

Qualification Recognition Attainment of dual degrees upon completing all graduation requirements, making graduates eligible to apply as registered teachers in Hong Kong
